Komatsu Mining, a provider of advanced equipment, systems and direct services to the mining industry, has begun construction on its new headquarters and manufacturing campus in Wisconsin, US.
Located in Milwaukee’s Harbour District on east Greenfield Avenue, the company’s South Harbour Campus will cover an area of 2.5 million ft².
It will reinforce the company’s commitment to Milwaukee as a large machining, heavy fabrication and engineering centre of excellence.
Collaborating with the state of Wisconsin and the city of Milwaukee, Komatsu Mining plans to invest about $285 m to deliver its new project.
Pre-construction work on the project is in progress since the end of 2019. The company plans to occupy the new campus by 2022.
