Contract Awarded For International Airport

 

The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), based in Saudi Arabia, has awarded a contract to deliver airside infrastructure works for the international airport. The order has been awarded to a joint venture between Nesma & Partners Contracting and Almabani General Contractors.

The scope of the contract will include the construction of airside infrastructure works, including the design and construction of a Code F Runway 3,700 m, Code B Seaplane Runway, parallel and link taxiways, and pavement works.

It will involve Aeronautical Navigational Aids, Aerodrome Ground Lighting, Airside utilities, helipads, roads and associated buildings.

Currently, land levelling works are in progress to prepare the airport for development. Red Sea International Airport is scheduled to open by the end of 2022.
