Bouygues Subsidiary Begins Work Rail Project

Bouygues Construction’s subsidiary VSL International has launched the first phase construction of North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) in the Philippines.

The rail project was awarded by Taisei Corporation and the D.M. Consunji, Inc (DMCI) group.

The contract, worth €100m, will also cover the precast and installation of the bridge segments.

The North-South Commuter Railway is a new 148 km-long transit line, which will link New Clark City, in Tarlac province, to Calamba City in Laguna province.

The scope of the contract will include the construction of the 16 km-long elevated viaduct, which forms part of an important transport infrastructure project.

With offices in 30 nations, VSL contributes to the construction, maintenance and repair of major technical structures.
