DPWH Inaugurates 7.17 km By-Pass Road

The Philippines’ Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced the opening of Urdaneta by-pass road in Pangasinan, Philippines.

The new 7.17 km by-pass road crosses two major road intersections of Urdaneta-Dagupan Road and Urdaneta-Manaoag Provincial Road.

The PHP1.885bn ($39.19m) project includes the construction of six new lanes portland concrete cement pavement along with sidewalk, drainage and slope protection, as well as the installation of solar streetlights.

It also involves the construction of four permanent bridges along the bypass road to reduce travel time between Villasis town proper to Binalonan.

The four bridges include the 90.90 metres Macalong Bridge, 70.90 metres Mitura Bridge 1, 36.76 metres Mitura Bridge 2, and 60.90 metres Camantiles Bridge.
