Besix JV To Further Develop Motorway Project

CECR

Norwegian road authority Nye Veier has selected BERINOR ANS, a joint venture of Besix and Rizzani de Eccher, to further develop the E6 Moelv-Roterud motorway project.

The project includes the main bridge over the Lake Mjøsa spanning 1.3 km in length and an 11 km section of four-lane motorway.

The 11 km motorway includes widening of the existing infrastructure and constructing new ones. Additionally, there will be several smaller bridges and culverts along the alignment.

The concept of the bridge includes the use of structural timber, which is expected to make it one of the longest bridges in the world to use sustainable material.

In June this year, the joint venture BERINOR ANS was selected as the preferred contractor to deliver the project, which is expected to be completed in 2025.
