The Arunachal Pradesh government has firmed up plans to complete the Hollongi Airport by August 2022. The earlier completion target was November 2022.
Most of the works are under execution and officials assured that by March 2021, all will be completed except for a few that will be executed after completion of works like boundary wall and approach road.
The project is being executed by Gujarat-based firm Dinesh Chandra R Agarwal Infracon.
As the airport site lies along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh boundary and some land has to be acquired also from the Assam side, the government of Arunachal Pradesh will soon have a discussion with the Assam government in this regard.
