Lantis, as a client for the Oosterweel Link, has awarded a €2.35bn contract to Tijdelijke Maatschap Rechteroever Compleet (TM ROCO) consortium for the construction of the Right Bank sub-project in Belgium.
the new project, through the Oosterweel intersection, will form the connection between the Scheldt tunnel and the R1 ring road, in the Northern and Eastern directions.
The construction of the Oosterweel link aims to completely close the R1 ring road around the city of Antwerp.
The Antwerp ring road R1 will also be constructed completely in a cutting and partly covered and the Merksem viaduct will be taken down and the urban landscape will undergo an extensive metamorphosis into a contemporary green and socially sustainable environment.
