Trans4m Rail, a joint venture (JV) between John Holland and SEE Civil has been awarded a A$693m ($503m) contract by Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to upgrade a section of Inland Rail in North West New South Wales, Australia.
Inland Rail is divided into 13 individual projects covering 1,700 km from Melbourne to Brisbane through the regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
Under the contract, Trans4m Rail will be responsible for the upgrade of 171 km of the existing rail line between Narrabri and North Star.
The Narrabri to North Star section of Inland Rail will upgrade 186 km of the existing rail corridor and will include the construction of 2.3km of new railway track near Moree, New South Wales.
