Layher Scaffolding Systems Pvt Ltd

For more than 75 years, Layher (the name of German Company) has been synonymous worldwide with high-quality and practically tested scaffolding systems. The proven combination of positive and non-positive connections in a rapid and bolt-free system technology with Auto Lock function facilitates connections that are automatically right-angled, obtuse-angled and acute-angled – and ensures built-in safety at the same time. Layher Allround Scaffolding has now become synonymous with modular scaffolding on the market. Layher is present worldwide with more than 30 sales subsidiaries. The products are used for construction in all kinds of industries like chemical plants or power plants, at shipyards and offshore. Due to innovative products, superior technical solutions and Layher’s absolute customer orientated service package, Layher has become the standard in scaffolding systems worldwide.

It’s a challenging work for Scaffolder, a work scaffolding had to be constructed that exactly followed the complex contours of two new greenhouses. The Allround Scaffolding was the natural choice. Its comprehensive range of parts not only made it possible to put together the circular structure without difficulty and modify it as the work progressed, but the bolt-free wedge-head connection technology also allowed the work to go very fast.

What do grains of paradise, cubeb berries and cassia bark have in common? Each is one of the ten “botanicals” in Bombay Sapphire – the exotic ingredients from around the world that give this alcoholic beverage its unmistakable character. With its many enthusiasts, Bombay Sapphire is said to be world’s fastest growing premium gin. To ensure the continued success of this famous brand, the owners decided to establish special production facilities and a visitor centre on the site of the historic mill in Laverstoke, Hampshire, about 60 miles from London. A special attraction of the new distillery is a pair of unusually shaped greenhouses, where the ten Mediterranean and tropical “botanicals” in the secret recipe will be cultivated.

To build the greenhouses with their diameters of 11 and 9 metres and heights of 15 and 11 metres respectively, it was necessary to put up complex work scaffolding. On the one hand the scaffolding had to fit within a small space owing to the nearby river, and on the other, it had to provide full access to the interior and exterior of both structures during every phase of construction. This included the “neck area” connecting the ultramodern domes to the existing brick building, the area around the foundation and finally the central area. The highly experienced British scaffolding constructors knew they could find an optimum solution only by using Layher Allround Scaffolding.

The modular system with its comprehensive range of parts offers unbeatable versatility, in particular for dealing with extremely challenging environments or complex architecture. Thus, the circular scaffolding was erected step by step without any trouble. The high load-bearing capacity of the Allround system allowed safe, material-saving assembly even though access to the site was limited. Another important advantage was the system’s high degree of adaptability, because the scaffolding had to be modified on a continuous basis. And this had to be done very quickly in order to keep pace with the construction schedule. The modifications were made easy by bolt-free wedge-head connection technology and precisely fitting, self-explanatory assembly using system components.

Thus, the scaffolding erectors succeed in implementing a well-though-out structure that gave craftsmen of various trades safe access at all times to high areas of the remarkable greenhouses. The greenhouse design, inspired by a long tradition in British greenhouse architecture, harmonizes perfectly with the Laverstoke Mill surroundings. The mill itself has an impressive history. First mentioned in 1086, it produced high-quality banknote paper for the Bank of England for more than 200 years in the 18th and 19th centuries. In the 20th century, the buildings fell into disrepair, but now they have been rediscovered, restored and transformed – into a state-of-the-art distillery.

Layher Allround Scaffolding usually takes the form of single-bay Scaffolding structures that are used for assembly and Construction/maintenance work in all area of Industries for example trench bridges, concreting work cable bridges, irregular shape of structure, dome and tall building. The Allround modular systems are economic efficiency, high stress capability and safety of the entire systems.
